    摘要:The present invention relates to the synthesis of dyes. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for preparing optionally substituted indigo, the method comprising a step of reacting an optionally substituted anthranilic acid with glyoxylic acid under hydrogenation in the presence of a metal catalyst in a solvent to obtain an optionally substituted 2-(carboxymethylamino)benzoic acid, and a step of converting the latter into optionally substituted indigo.
