摘要:The Equilibrium Constants Of Seven Sequential-Parallel Reactions Of Conversion Of Glycerin Into Glycerin Trinitrate In Aqueous Hno3 Were Measured. The Effect Of The Acidity Of The Medium On The Equilibrium Nitration Constants Is Correlated With Processes Of Protonation Of Glycerin And Its Nitrates. The Equilibrium Nitration Constants Are Higher For Primary Hydroxides Than For Secondary Hydroxides,And They Decrease In Both Series In Going From Glycerin To Its Dinitrates.

The compositions include chelator-targeting ligand conjugates optionally chelated to one or more metal ions. Methods of synthesizing these compositions in high purity are also presented. Also disclosed are methods of imaging, treating and diagnosing disease in a subject using these novel compositions, such as methods of imaging a tumor within a subject and methods of diagnosing myocardial ischemia.

摘要:This invention relates to a process for synthesis of glycerol from formaldehyde, wherein formaldehyde under substantially anhydrous condition is self-condensed in a catalytic step is dihydroxyacetone which is separated from the self-condensation catalyst and hydrogenated catalytically to glycerol. n The feature of the invention is to have less than 0.4% w/w of water in the self-condensation reaction mixture thereby improving the process to produce glycerol in commercially viable rates and yields.

摘要:The invention relates to the synthesis of isosorbide mononitrates. n The process according to the invention consists in reacting a hydrazine derivative with isosorbide dinitrate, in a polar solvent medium. The reaction is preferably carried out at the reflux temperature of the solvent medium, with an excess of the hydrazine derivative. A preferred solvent medium is a mixture of tetrahydrofuran and methanol. The process leads to the preferential formation of isosorbitol-2-mononitrate, which is a coronary vasodilator.

摘要:An elegant process for the synthesis of 2-nitratoethyl acrylate is a single reactive step. A 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate having only one hydroxyl group is nitrated in a 1:1 volumetric mixture of nitric acid and sulfuric acid therein forming 2-nitratoethyl acrylate. The 2-nitratoethyl acrylate is minimally soluble in a quenched cold acid water mixture, which enables relatively easy isolation of about 96% purity 2-nitratoethyl acrylate at a yield of about 85%.

摘要:The present invention is directed to a method for the prophylactic and therapeutic treatment of diseases or disorders associated with the abnormal proliferation and extracellular matrix synthesis of smooth muscle cells (SMC) and fibroblasts due to activation of NAD(P)H and/or increased ROS generation. The method involves the administration of an NAD(P)H oxidase inhibitor(s) and/or antioxidant(s) to a mammal in an amount sufficient to treat the disease or disorder prophylactically or therapeutically. The NAD(P)H oxidase inhibitor inhibits the synthesis or translocation of NAD(P)H subunits, thereby blocking the generation of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) and thus the proliferation and extracellular matrix synthesis of SMC and fibroblasts. Similarly, the administration of antioxidants blocks the generation of intracellular ROS, thereby inhibiting SMC and fibroblast proliferation and extracellular matrix synthesis. In addition to the prevention and treatment of vascular disease, such as atherosclerosis, graft disease, and restenosis, NAD(P)H oxidase inhibitors and antioxidants may be useful for the prevention and treatment of other conditions by decreasing cell proliferation and extracellular matrix synthesis associated therewith. These conditions include arthritis, keloid formation, cancer, tissue and organ fibrosis, and complications related to organ transplantation, metabolic syndrome, and radiation therapy.
