摘要:The present invention relates to spiropyrans and process for the manufacture of them. In particular, a method is provided to exchange the indole and salicylaldehyde part of a spiropyran in a reversible reaction. The method is used for the synthesis of dual color photoinitiators with specific substituents and substitution patterns, which result in improved dual color volumetric printing (xolography). Furthermore, a process for locally polymerizing a starting material by dual color photopolymerization is disclosed.

摘要:Provided are synthetic dendrimer calibrants for mass spectrometry. The calibrants are distinguished by their relative case and rapidity of synthesis, comparatively low cost, long shelf life, high purity, and amenability to batch synthesis as mixtures. The latter characteristic enables parallel preparation of higher molecular weight compounds displaying useful distributions of discrete molecular weights, thereby providing multi-point mass spectrometry calibration standards. 摘要:A new and very advantageous Process had been found for the preparation of azo dyestuffs by diazotation and coupling in which the synthesis is carried out without the hitherto usual addition of an acid, with the proviso that at least one of the diazo and coupling components contains at least one acid group. Besides the saving of reaction material and subsequently of alkali for neutralization of the reaction medium and isolation of the dyestuff, highly concentrated solutions of the dyestuff and salt-free or practically salt-free dyestuffs can be obtained, and waste-water is no longer charged with big amounts of salts.

摘要:Perfluoroalkylthio glycols and esters thereof can be prepared by the free-radical catalyzed addition of a perfluoroalkylthiol to an acetylenic alcohol or ester thereof. The compounds obtained are useful intermediates for the synthesis of fluorochemicals with low free surface energies having oil and water repellent properties. In one embodiment, a perfluoroalkylthio glycol can be reacted with a diisocyanate to obtain a polyurethane containing perfluoroalkylthio groups, which polyurethanes are useful as coatings to provide oil and water repellence to textiles and as additives to plastics to provide mold-release and other desirable properties.
