摘要:A process for preparing a new zeolite, designated ZSM-22, is disclosed and claimed. The process comprises preparing a reaction mixture comprised of sources of an alkali or alkaline earth metal, alumina, silica, alkane diamine and water, and having the following composition, in terms of mole ratios of oxides: n n ______________________________________ n n n SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 n = 20 to ∞ nH 2 O/SiO 2 n = 10 to 100 nOH - /SiO 2 n = 0 to 0.3 nM + /SiO 2 n = 0 to 2.0 nRN/SiO 2 = 0.01 to 2.0 n______________________________________ n n wherein RN is a C 2 -C 12 alkane diamine of the formula H 2 N--(CH 2 ) n --NH 2 , wherein n=2 to 10, and M is an alkali or alkaline earth metal, e.g., Na, K, Cs, Li, Ca or Sr, and maintaining the reaction mixture at crystallization conditions until crystals of the ZSM-22 zeolite are formed.

摘要:An improved process for preparing ZSM-22 zeolite is disclosed and claimed. The process comprises preparing a reaction mixture comprised of sources of an alkali or alkaline earth metal, alumina, silica, organic promoter and water, and having the following composition, in terms of mole ratios of oxides: n SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 =20 to ∞ n H 2 O/SiO 2 =10 to 100 n OH - /SiO 2 =0 to 1.0 n M + /SiO 2 =0 to 2.0 n RN/SiO 2 =0.01 to 2.0 n wherein RN is a functional group of a heterocyclic organic compound containing one or more four (4) to ten (10) member, saturated or unsaturated, non-fused rings, wherein the hetero atoms are the same or different, and they are oxygen, phosphorus or nitrogen, an alkyl and/or alkene derivative of the heterocyclic organic compound, wherein the alkyl and/or alkene groups contain one (1) to ten (10) carbon atoms, or an organic or inorganic salt of the heterocyclic organic compound or its alkyl or alkene derivative, and M is an alkali or alkaline earth metal, e.g., Na, K, Cs, Li, Ca or Sr, and maintaining the reaction mixture at crystallization conditions until crystals of the ZSM-22 zeolite are formed.

摘要:Attrition resistant and stable catalyst composition comprising crystalline aluminosilicate zeolites e.g. rare earth exchanged zeolites dispersed in an inorganic matrix containing synthetic amorphous silica-alumina and clay are prepared by a process which reduces the level of polluting ammonium salts by eliminating the use of ammonium hydroxide in the steps prior to primary filtration. During the synthesis of the amorphous inorganic matrix wherein alkali metal silicate and aluminum salt solutions are gelled and subsequently combined with zeolitic materials, the ammonia reagent is replaced by non-polluting additives such as magnesium or calcium hydroxides (or oxides) prior to a primary filtration stage without decreasing the catalytic activity of the resulting zeolite promoted hydrocarbon conversion catalysts.
