摘要:A method for synthesizing cobalt oxide nanoparticles includes mixing an aqueous solution of a cobalt precursor and L-valine to obtain a reaction mixture and heating up the reaction mixture to temperature of at least 100° C. to obtain a dry powder. The method further includes calcining the dry powder to obtain the cobalt oxide nanoparticles. The cobalt oxide nanoparticles have an average particle size of 200 nm or less. The cobalt oxide nanoparticles are substantially spherical and include mesopores having a total pore volume of 0.1 to 0.5 cm3/g.
