摘要:The present invention relates to stereoselective synthesis of 7-α-substituted estra-4-ene-3,17-diones. Such compounds are valuable intermediates in the synthesis of 7-α-substituted estra-1,3,5(10)-triene-3,17-diols. n Key step in this synthesis is reacting a 3-keto-4,6-estradiene with a Grignard reagent selected from the group consisting of a magnesium-halide alkyl halide having at least 3 carbon atoms, a magnesium-halide alkenyl halide having at least 3 carbon atoms, and a magnesium-halide alkynyl halide having at least 3 carbon atoms, in the presence of a catalyst system comprising CuI. n The obtained 7α-alkyl, alkenyl and alkynyl halides can be used for the synthesis of pharmaceutically actice 7-α-substituted estra-1,3,5(10)-triene-3,17-diols (antiestrogens).

摘要:A process for the synthesis of arborescent polymers comprises epoxidation of a first polymer and grafting thereto a second polymer having groups reactive to the epoxide groups on the first polymer. The epoxidation and grafting steps can be repeated. In an additional embodiment, the present invention provides a one-pot method for the synthesis of arborescent polymers. In a reaction pot, a first polymer is copolymerized and then reacted with an activating compound in order to generate a polyfunctional macroinitiator. Monomers are then added to the reaction pot, the monomers having functional groups reactive towards reactive sites on the first polymer.

摘要:A one-pot synthesis of polymerizable and acyclic urea (meth)acrylates, preferably mono(meth)acrylates, can be performed via in-situ synthesis of urea alcohols or amines followed by direct reaction with a (meth)acrylate reactive diluent. The urea alcohol/amine is obtained from isocyanates and alcohols, amines, or hydroxyamines. Subsequently, the reaction with the (meth)acrylate reactive diluent takes place and the urea (meth)acrylate is directly obtained either in solution with the reactive diluent, or as a pure material after removal of the reactive diluent.
