摘要:A range-resolved imaging method includes sampling a plurality of 3D Fourier components of a target with a plurality of frequency-shifted beams that pair-wise interfere at the target. Each of the plurality of frequency-shifted beams has been emitted by a respective transmitter of a sparse transmitter-array. The method also includes extracting amplitudes and phases of temporal oscillations of a detected signal back-scattered by the target in response to the pair-wise interference of the plurality of frequency-shifted beams. The amplitudes and phases correspond to selected 3D Fourier components of a plurality of temporal Fourier components of the detected signal. The method also includes assembling the amplitudes and the phases in a 3D spatial-frequency representation; and producing a range-resolved image of the target via Fourier synthesis of the 3D Fourier representation.

摘要:A method of producing a synthesis gas from a hydrocarbon containing gaseous feed in which the hydrocarbon containing gaseous feed is reacted in an autothermal reactor having separated reaction stages in which partial oxidation and steam methane reforming reactions occur. Each of the reaction stages has alternating separation zones and catalytic reaction zones. Oxygen separated by oxygen ion transport in the separation zone supports the partial oxidation reactions occurring in the catalytic reaction zones. Reactants are separately metered to the reaction stages to control temperatures within the reaction stages so that use of expensive high temperature materials is confined to one or more final reaction stages. Reaction stages can incorporate perforated planar members with regions of oxygen ion transport membrane material in registry with such perforated regions form the separation zones and the catalytic reaction zones.

摘要:The invention provides a process for sequestration of carbon dioxide by mineral carbonation comprising the following steps:n (a) converting a magnesium or calcium sheet silicate hydroxide into a magnesium or calcium ortho- or chain silicate by bringing the silicate hydroxide in direct or indirect heat-exchange contact with hot synthesis gas to obtain the silicate, silica, water and cooled synthesis gas; (b) contacting the silicate obtained in step (a) with carbon dioxide to convert the silicate into magnesium or calcium carbonate and silica.
