摘要:The invention provides a process for preparing an allophanate-containing compound in the presence of a metal catalyst and a tertiary amine. In a preferred process, the tertiary amine compound also has a hydroxyl group. The hydroxyl group can react with the isocyanate functionality. Also disclosed is a process in which an allophanate-containing compound is prepared with copper acetate monohydrate as a catalyst. 摘要:The present invention is a method for the preparation of sol-gel precursors' solutions, using Lewis acids as catalysts. In particular this method is very efficient if Sn(IV) in aqueous solution is used as catalyst. The pH value of solutions can be varied between 4 and 7, according to the amount of catalyst. The composition of solutions can be planned in order to achieve the best results regarding gelation time and film morphology, according to the particular material that has to be coated and/or protected. All operative parameters, except pH and temperature, for formation and deposition of glass films are controlled according to what is reported in literature for the classical sol-gel method. The present invention produces a film constituted of glassy silica. Silica glass is the most durable glass and also the most resistant to chemical and physical attacks. It shows good features of homogeneity, purity, weathering resistance and transparency. The nature of its constituents (silicon and oxygen) makes it highly compatible with glass substrates. The present method involves: • The deposition of films in nearly neutral pH conditions, in order to avoid degradation of objects sensitive to acid environment; • The substitution of the heat treatment to increase the film density with a slow drying process carried out at ambient temperature, in order to avoid damaging of the substrate.
