摘要:The present invention is directed to aspartic protease inhibitors. Certain aspartic protease inhibitors of the invention can be represented by the following structural formula or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The present invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising the disclosed aspartic protease inhibitors. The present invention is further directed to methods of antagonizing one or more aspartic proteases in a subject in need thereof, and methods for treating an aspartic protease mediated disorder in a subject using the disclosed aspartic protease inhibitors.

An aryl metal compound as represent by formula II reacts with aryl oxazoline as represented by formula III to generate the o-biphenyl oxazoline compound as represented by formula I. The o-biphenyl oxazoline compound can be used for industrial preparation of o-aminobiphenyl compounds, and used for synthesizing succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor fungicides (IV) such as fluxapyroxad, bixafen, boscalid, and pyraziflumid.

摘要:This invention relates to certain novel compounds and derivatives thereof, their synthesis, and their use as selective alpha-1a adrenergic receptor antagonists. One application of these compounds is in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. These compounds are selective in their ability to relax smooth muscle tissue enriched in the alpha 1a receptor subtype without at the same time inducing orthostatic hypotension. One such tissue is found surrounding the urethral lining. Therefore, one utility of the instant compounds is to provide acute relief to males suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia, by permitting less hindered urine flow. Another utility of the instant compounds is provided by combination with a human 5-alpha reductase inhibitory compound, such that both acute and chronic relief from the effects of benign prostatic hyperplasia are achieved.
