Sol in many organic solvents, e.g., aniline, pyridine, benzene, toluene, nitromethane, glycerol, nitrobenzene, and chlorobenzene. Solvated crystals have been obtained contg 6 mols aniline, 4 mols pyridine, 1 mol benzene, 1 mol toluene. These compds explode readily when struck: Brinkley, J. Am. Chem. Soc.
