Properties: Yellow crystals from water, mp 114°. Calc bp 306°. d425 0.9011. One gram dissolves in 880 ml water, about 20 ml alcohol, 18 ml ether, 11.5 ml methanol. Forms water-sol salts with mineral acids.

Boiling point: bp 306°
Density: d425 0.9011
CAUTION: Highly toxic; absorbed through skin. Avoid breathing dust; avoid contact with skin, eyes, clothing. In case of contact, immediately flush skin or eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; for eyes, get medical attention. Wash clothing before reusing. Acute exposure can cause methemoglobinemia, cyanosis. Chronic exposure may cause liver damage.
Use: Dyestuff intermediate.
